Devarakonda Vittal Rao (born 14 November 1947) is a member of the 14th Lok Sabha of India. He represents the Mahabubnagar constituency of Andhra Pradesh and is a member of the Indian National Congress (INC) political party.

His family runs educational institutes which include an engineering college known as "DVR College Of Engineering and Technology" also an MBA, MCA and Fashion Technology college.

Early life

His father Sayappa, being a herbal doctor in a remote village called JAGACHARLA in Mahbubnagar District of Andhra Pradesh, and mother Thimamma, a house wife, supported him until he could complete his higher education.

Career

His early interest in serving people has motivated him to join politics, that's when he joined the Indian National Congress party. He completed his B.A. and also served as a student leader then.

Gradually through time he moved up ranks from Joint Secretary to Treasurer of APCC to Member of Indian Parliament.

Known for his philanthropist acts, paying up for the education of poor students, providing jobs to the needy.

A very good architect.

A very high influential and respectable position in the society has been predicted upon his birth.
